Day 3 of the Sasol Live the Impossible Wheelchair Basketball Tournament was action-packed and filled with intense competition. The first game saw the South African Senior Men’s team securing a decisive victory over the South African U23 squad with a final score of 51-34. Shane Williams of the South African Senior Men’s team was awarded the Man of the Match title.
In the second game, the South African U23 team faced a tough challenge against the Kuwait team. Despite their efforts, the U23 team fell short, losing 57-26. Mohammed Alawani of the Kuwait team was in exceptional form, claiming the Man of the Match honours.
“The teams fought hard to get this far, which also delivered top drawer entertainment. We are happy to see all the teams giving their all, living up to our #LiveTheImpossible mantra” said Sasol Group Brand and Sponsorships Manager, Dean Somerset.
The audience still has the privilege to watch jam-packed action at no cost on Day 4 of the tournament at the Mandeville Sports Centre.
