Day 2 of the Sasol “Live The Impossible” tournament hosted by Wheelchair Basketball at Mandeville Sports Club featured an exciting clash as the South African Senior Men’s team triumphed over the U23 squad with a deciding 41-27 victory. The seniors displayed their experience and skill, pulling ahead early and maintaining their lead throughout the match. Vuyo Zungo from the South African Senior Men’s team delivered an outstanding performance, earning the Man of the Match title for his remarkable contribution on the court. The energy and enthusiasm from both teams made it a memorable game of wheelchair basketball action with the crowd cheering on their favourites.
The second match saw the South Africa Senior Men’s team gain complete control of their game and enjoying a lead against team Kuwait, beating them 57-41. The South African Men’s team showed determination to defeat the visiting team. One player who gave his all on the court was Simanga Mbhele of the South African Senior Men’s team and as a result, he received the honour of taking the title of Man of the Match for his exceptional play.
